Pours a near black with fair brown head. Sweet milk chocolate with a good bit of roast. Like a milk stout actually. I actually thought this was a sweet stout, rather than a dry stout. About average. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2009 12 oz bottle served at charlestons (new lenox, Il). Pours a very darl brown pour mixed with black notes, moderate tannish head that sticks around and laces a bit. Aromas are fairly blank, subtle roasted malts mixed with light molasses sweetness, light chocolate, and and underwhelming feel. Initial is lighter in body, light roasted malts, chocolate subtle coffee bitterness, and light barley and soda bread. A little light bodied, but sessionable. Not really a palate sticker, leaves a malty sweetness coupled with coffee bitterness on the aftertaste. Ok. War4soccer (115), , Nevada, USA
