This is an OK stout but I did not feel that it had any qualities that make it stand out. It did have a nice dark color and creamy head. CapnCascade (116), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2009 Black pour, thin off-white head with some retention and lacing. Somewhat lactic nose with notes of bitter chocolate and burnt coffee. Flavour has lactose and bittering hops with some roast, moderate finish retains some of the roasty character. Mouthfeel is a bit middle-of-the-road, carbo is fairly well balanced though. Quite nice. Butters (1653), Virginia, USA

Pours a near black with fair brown head. Sweet milk chocolate with a good bit of roast. Like a milk stout actually. I actually thought this was a sweet stout, rather than a dry stout. About average. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA
