Apr 3, 2009 12oz bottle. This is an OK stout but I did not feel that it had any qualities that make it stand out. It did have a nice dark color and creamy head.

Apr 3, 2009 Black pour, thin off-white head with some retention and lacing. Somewhat lactic nose with notes of bitter chocolate and burnt coffee. Flavour has lactose and bittering hops with some roast, moderate finish retains some of the roasty character. Mouthfeel is a bit middle-of-the-road, carbo is fairly well balanced though. Quite nice.

Mar 31, 2009 Shared with smith4498 at Zeke’s Roadhouse in Miami Beach. Pours a near black with fair brown head. Sweet milk chocolate with a good bit of roast. Like a milk stout actually. I actually thought this was a sweet stout, rather than a dry stout. About average.

Mar 22, 2009 On tap at The Trappist. This black ale poured with a modest tan head and a smoked malt aroma. There is a substantial roasted malt flavor that leaves a pleasant coating on your tongue.

Mar 18, 2009 Black body with a thick brown head. Roastd malt aroma with trace amount of coffee aroma. Taste of roasted malt, little sweetness, dryness, and a litlle bitter finish. Nice lacing on the glass.
