North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout

On tap. Poured black with a brown head. Aroma was full of all sort of dar notes with a nice smoked undertone. Flavor doesn’t disappoint with a dark smoked flavor throughout. Great beer!

Creamy and smooth with notes of chocolate and coffee. Somewhat bitter aftertaste and taste of alcohol make this a bit less drinkable for me.

Black body, tan head. The aroma is of coffee grounds, bakers chocolate and roasted barley. The taste starts out with burnt malt and finishes with very dark chocolate, while never actually tasting bitter. Great beer. Definitely recommend this.

Very dark with minimal tan head. Slight taste of cocoa and subtle alcohol aftertaste. Rich, nutty flavor stays on the palate. Very smooth. I dig.

Near black with a thick mocha head. Aromas of roasted malt, lots of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, faint anise. Very smooth. Espresso, chocolate, spicy flavors ending with a bitter coffee taste. Very tasty.

Detailed aromas of cocoa liqueur, dark fruit, slight stab of alcohol. Espresso look. Taste immediate full, rich fruity esters, deep sweet malts, toffee, coffee, figs cocoa, hops showing a late bitterness under the mouth-coating dominant malty flavors. Some definite alcohol warmth, really solid and great!!

Black pour with tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee with a little dark fruit and hops. Taste starts out smooth with some sweet roasted malt and ends with s little chocolate, coffee, and anise with a well balanced lingering bitterness. Delicious. It is a little weak on the palate for this style. This is not an over the top Imperial Stout, but just a really well done excellent beer.
