LtDan (471), LA - Originally from South NJ!, California, USA Apr 6, 2009 Aromas of coffee, chocolate and roastiness. Flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, roastiness and burnt roastiness. Thick in the mouthfeel. Overall, I enjoyed this better than the last time I had it, didn’t seem as burnt to me. FarFromHome (82), Philadelphia, Alabama, USA Apr 4, 2009 Got a bottle from my father. Drank it to accompany some pasta; should have eaten it as a meal on it’s own. The most absoute dark and black color I’ve ever seen; head like delicious matress foam. Taste somewhere between a cup of coffee, a bar of chocolate, and a werther’s original. I feel like I should like it more than I do; it’s like someone is punching me in the head with a stout. I vaguely resent the ridiculously over powerful flavors. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Apr 4, 2009 Pours a dark brown, almost black with a nice tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate with hints of hops. The flavor is about the same. The coffee comes out when it first hits the pallet and the choclate stands out in the finish. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA Mar 30, 2009 Updated: Sep 17, 2009bottle. pours a deep dark brown with a decent tan head. aroma of smoke, coffee, roasted malts, bitter chocolate.
