branspra (204), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 12, 2008 Bottle. Large head with a nice black color. Aroma includes roasted grain, molasses, wine, vanilla, brown sugar, and even a bit of date. Full body with a slick texture and lively palate. Long taste. Probably the best stout I have tasted. CptGreencoat (68), Kettering, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2008 Updated: Oct 28, 2008Poured from bottle into frosted glass. Darker than coffee in appearance with a brown head that slowly grows to half an inch and even more slowly dissipates and laces the glass. Strong coffee and chocolate tastes with a present alcohol flavor. Mildly carbonated and leaves your tongue coated like thick chocolate milk. My favorite of it’s class. HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 6, 2008 I’ve had this a few times before, and each time I’m impressed. Huge aroma, big thick mouthfeel, and big, chocolately, coffee and tobacco flavor. One of the best regularly available examples of one of my favorite styles. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 6, 2008 Bottle poured into a snifter. Poured a dark black with a one finger creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and brown sugar. Flavor of bitter coffee, bittersweet chocolate and roasted malt with a little warming alcohol on the end. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Good but not great impy. s01gs (17), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 5, 2008 Nice light brown head. Brown sugar is the dominant bouqet. Flavour is as expected: Coffee, chocolate, sligthly bitter with a noticable alcohol taste that spoils the beer experience to some extent More interesting than good. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 5, 2008 Pitch black pour with a healthy smooth finger of milk chocolate head. Roasty chocolate aroma with some alcohol present. Smooth roastiness transitions effortlessly into hop and chocolate bitterness with a lingering roasted finish. mirjukka (695), LOHJA, Finland Sep 5, 2008 bottle 355ml 7,5e at Gallow’s Bird Espoo
