Bottle: Black with a dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and some dark fruits. Flavor, more dark fruits, some brown sugar, a nice roasty bitterness to it. I thought the alcohol came on a bit too strong, but not too bad. The bitterness in the was quite well done.

12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours black as night with a good size chocolaty head. Tons of chocolate, coffee, and toasted malts on the nose. A spectacular finish that was creamy and full of the Imp Stout goodness.

Poured black with a light brown thick, foamy, sticky, lasting head. Lacing on glass. Dark bittersweet roasted coffee flavor. Feels creamy in the mouth, like a thin caramel sauce when sipped with the foamy head, but with a mild to medium carbonated bite. Aftertaste is a bitterness on the tongue kind of like a dry coating of bittersweet cocoa powder. Just a touch bitter for my liking, but definitely a good beer, with rich, developed flavors.

Almost black color with a light tan. Nice roasted coffee aroma and flavor. Bitterness backs up the malt flavor nicely. Very light alcohol presence. A very smooth full bodied beer. Good stuff.

Thick black with a nice tan bubbly and creamy top, aroma was first and foremost strong coffee, with chocolate and raisins and authentic black licorice sneaking in too...bittersweet cocoa start, with licorice, bitterness, and warming alcohol...high carbonation...tummy warmer with bitter head slaps

Pours extremely dark. Has a dark head. Very roasty flavor. Very powerful, you can really feel the flavor of this beer. A little warmth in me chest upon swallowing. Great stout. This is what beer is all about, I think. Rerate: A little bit of a rant here. Why can I go down to the store any day of the week and pick this stuff up for $5.99 a 4 pack, considering it is such an incredible brew. While to try another brew that is far inferior to this costs nearly as much for a single bomber.

A beer that stayed in the frig longer than it should have. No damage to the brew, but I feel I cheated myself out of the opportunity to try this beer earlier. It should come with a disclaimer saying don’t taste this beer until it is above 50*F. A hard beer for me to describe. It has an excellent aroma and flavor as it warms. Cocoa-coffee are clear but other flavors and aromas are there. My palate and mind say I could drink this beer everyday, but my liver says try it and I’ll kill you.
