Had on tap at Archer's Ale House. A Beauty is this beer. Body is black with minimal brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and porty. Taste is robust and the high ABV is not noticeable. The chocolate and coffee standout but are nicely blened with the roasted malt taste. Finish is smooth and creamy. A Stout Lovers dream!

Pitch black pour with a healthy smooth finger of milk chocolate head. Roasty chocolate aroma with some alcohol present. Smooth roastiness transitions effortlessly into hop and chocolate bitterness with a lingering roasted finish.

Very deep brown almost black color with a beige head. The taste is a sweet body with strong roasted and light smokey notes. Finishes with a rather dry slight bitterness. Very nice brew.

Bottle. Experience date was 12/2006. Pours pitch balck with brown head. In nose chocolate, coffee and dark fruits. In mouth silky smooth with notes of caramel, chocolate cake and dark roasted coffee beans. Great stuff.

Bottle, pours a dark chocolately brown with a thick creamy dark tan head. A beautifully sweet malty aroma. NIce coffie, slight toffie nose. Not a heavy mouth feel. Sweet malty taste with some coffie bitterness and a slight alcohol burn , excellent beer.

Pours a four finger light brown head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Totally black color, no highlights. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Roasted coffee nose. Flavor is nearly sweet coffee, with a burnt coffee finish, not bad but not enough beef for a RIS. $2.50 for a 12oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.
