(Bottle) Black. Tan medium sized head. Coffee and rostedness in nose. Full bodied and dryish palate with little carbonation. Coffee, roasted malts, liquorice and bitterness in taste. Long coffee flavoured aftertaste. Very good imperial stout.

Bu en fut (14 oz) au Deep Ellum, le 12 jullet 2009. Pure noir, bon collet beige. Arome de café mocha malté, céréal gronolas. Goût de cafe crème, céréal malté, finisson café amère avec aucune sensation d’alcool. Une bonne impérial sans être extrème!

Bottle. Pours black with a small light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, cookie dough, caramel, nougat, and truffles. Wow. Flavor of roast, coffee, and bitter hops. Sweet roasted malt emerges as the beer warms. A bit heavy (alcohol-wise). Good impy!

Bottle, Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Poured a black with rich tan head, very good retention. Aroma was great, nice fruity notes and dark malt, coffee. Flavor was sweet, dark roast, coffe, and nice alcohol spice with a nice bitter....This was a nicely balanced Imperial.....Impressive........Nice full body, not too heavy....low carbonation....very nice bitter......A very nice, strong stout!!!!! Good Shit!!!! I’m shocked I never had this before.......

Bottle. Black colored, although not totally opaque, with a big creamy brown head - it’s been a while since my snifter looked so good. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee, with a bit of dark fruits and a bit of alcohol. A rather bitter roasted flavor but with some sweet malty tones as well - espresso, some bitter chocolate, some caramel, and maybe a bit of licorice. A great powerful bitter finish. Full-bodied. A wonderful Imperial Stout - it was gone too fast and left me yearning for more of this delicious brew. Thanks so much Rebecca for bringing me this and other amazing beers from the States.

Black with a 2 cm light tan head. Not an insanely thick pour for an Imperial Stout. Aroma has a lot of roast, a good deal of alcohol, which seems to piggyback on the roast, making it warm and deep. As the brew warms, a mild minty hop aroma comes out. Accomodating palate - medium-thick and well-carbonated. Tons of roast in the character with a nice light hop taste that somehow finds its way out. For some reason, the fact that the alcohol is less well-hidden in this beer (in taste and aroma) sets it a few steps back from the elites, but this is still a great brew.

Excellent Imperial Stout. Pours a beautiful black with a brown head. Nice sniffable malty aroma. Taste is of dark chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, roasted malt and generous hops. Not that sweet. Mouthfeel is very full, round and creamy. Leaves a nice burnt aftertaste. Highly recommended!

How have I not rated this. Always enjoyable. Dark and rich with an off white head. Aroma is strong and sweet, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and a hint of bitter hops. Flavor is very strong roasted malts, coffee and a bit hot when fresh. Mellows out, had a few year old bottle recently and it was great. Bitterness mellows and becomes a bit more sweet and sticky just the way I like it.
