Rich, sweet, roasty, bitter....WOW! There’s a lot going on in one sip, multiple layers of malts and floral hops. Absolutley delicious! snoot (277), Anaheim, California, USA

Aroma of licorice, roasted malts, chocolate. The flavour is of cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted coffee grains. Finishes warming, creamy, and buttery. Decadent. Thanks CaptainCougar.
Millennium Edition. Deep black in colour, long lasting tan head, some lace. The aroma was filled with dark chocolate, vanilla, espresso, some sweetness and very minor alcohol. The flavour is very roasty, lots of sweet chocolate, vanilla, coffee notes. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes very long and decadent. Quite nice but I can’t help but feel that this was aged just a bit to long (6 years). Rating: 8/4/8/4/17 baobubba (449), Corvallis, Oregon, USA

I really enjoy the cocoa/coffee/fruity aroma with that slight licorice finish. I get hints of cherries and strawberries as well. Super smooth and a fine looker as well. I haven't found any alcohol in this (that is until I stand up). Racegoer (338), Somewhere Out There, USA

The aroma was a beautiful mix of espresso, chocolate, bitter hops, and roasted grain...some alcohol crept in. The flavor was intense...woody/charcoal, chocolate, coffee, roasted grain, tobacco, hops bitterness. The feel was surprisingly crisp and bubbly...that made this beer feel not as big as it is. Very wet finish...coats the tongue and throat. Immense stout...right up there with Alesmith Speedway Stout! aaronh (201), McMurray, Pennsylvania, USA

Complex raosted and fruit flavors, good coffee and chocolate components. This is one of my all-time favorties to just sit back and enjoy. daalamar (403), bardstown, Kentucky, USA

At 8.9% the alcohol is masked very well with strong tones of roast coffee and burnt chocolate, taste goes on forever. Great beer for a cold night in a nice dark pub.
