OMFG! Pitch Black, a Black Hole....the room gets darker when you open one of these. Rich, sweet, roasty, bitter....WOW! There’s a lot going on in one sip, multiple layers of malts and floral hops. Absolutley delicious!

Very close to perfect...a big bold stout. Licorice taste with a coffee aftertaste. The ABV is very well hidden. Great stout.

Solid black, black as a moonless night....one finger high head of super lumpy, solid crunchy top, but also looks fluffy and light, tan in color, leaves some spotty lace patches. Smell, dead on, is a great sweet dark chocolatey aroma with notes of dark fruit - banana, starfruit, mango, strawberry, and black cherry all noted. Taste is a swirling light chocolate, sweet and dark smoothness throughout, yum. Nice twinged hops in the finish that brings out just the right bitterness and dryness to say hello kindly and leave you with a smile. Feel is full and creamy with a way easy smoothness that makes this a amazingly drinkable stout. North Coast has a winner here.

Black. Great balanced aroma with nuts, malt, toffee and hops. Flavor is nutty and malty with a vinous feeling. Vanilla and cream notes. Also hoppy and with a nice bitterness in the finish. Defineatly one of the best beers I have tried.

Excellent beer. Dark pour. Aroma of toasted and roasted malts, chocolate, big hops. Mouth feel is so creamy, and the flavor is incredibly rich, with quite a bit of hop bitterness. Chocolaty, roasty, hoppy, bitter, just tremendous. It’s so rich it’s like eating a sweet dessert and makes me crave a glass of milk. The alcohol is nowhere to be found until it warms up, and even then it’s still barely there. Quite dry on the finish, and I love that about this beer. This one sets itself apart and does it’s own thing as an imperial stout. Very, very good. A memorable drink, indeed.

Nitrogen tap @ the Map Room, Chicago. Freaking fantastic.

Wonderful Beer! Chocolately, creamy, roasted coffee taste explosion. Alcohol content covered up nicely. Beautiful aftertaste. Exquisite color. Love it!

Draft@ Dilly Deli. Almost black in color with dark head. Has a great roasty aroma and...(as much as I hate to say this as I feel that too many reviews are overly dramatic with flavors and aromas) along with aroma of coffee. Big, no Huge flavor, enough dark roastiness to keep up with some serious dryness/bitterness. EXCELLENT!!!!

Pours as syrup, dark amber--slightly translucent under high intensity light. Tan, mostly diminishing head accompanied by moderate lacing. Nose is roasted malts and bittersweet fruit with an acidic sting. Very malty at the first touch of the tongue, followed by resin bodied roasted chocolate and fruit with even more intense acidic sting. The smokey sweet malts remain while bitter, slightly sweet hops are gradually introduced. The finish is burnt toast bitter. The finishing flavour remains on the palette for minutes. The palate is thick, yet complements the experience appropriately. Alcohol was never present even as it warmed. To sum it all up with one word: EXCEPTIONAL!
