Perfectly poured at the Tornado pub, intense black with a rich dark creamy head the colour of coffee creamer. A thoroughly fascinating complex beer, hints of dark cherries and even darker chocolate, i really enjoyed it.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer. Been waiting to try this for quite some time. First up.. the dirty brown head. Beer itself is black as night. Aroma is dark liqourice, malts and alot more hops than I’d expected. This is nothing compared to the taste, like being suckerpunched in the head with a booze-drenched malt-boot filled with coofe, liqourice, chocolate, hops and roasted barley. I had to search around the festival floor to find my tounge curled up in fright behind the Carlsberg exhibition crying ’Please, no more...’ Sadly, this might very well be the case seeing how this stuff is sooo hard to get by here in Sweden.. Easily one of the best beers I’ve had.

One of the best I’ve had. Difficult to describe the complexity of flavor. Stunned to discover, after drinking, the 9% alc content. You have to try this.

Smells like dessert at the worlds finest 5-Star restaurant. Pours like fresh maple syrup w/ a thin but lasting head. As dark as a siberian night w/ a new moon. Deliciously sinful aroma that made me just slouch down in my chair. Tastes of dark chocolate, java beans, charred filet mignon, brown sugar, & anise. Smooth & inviting mouth feel w/ a comforting warming sensation going down the gullet; like a nap w/ a light comforter on a cool spring afternoon. I could feel the bubbles on the top of my mouth w/ every sip even after the head had faded; either this was my imagination or i just wasnt able to see them through the abyss like constitution of this stout. One of the best beers I’ve ever had & a must for anyone a fan of stouts.

Holy be-jesus I love this beer. Perfect jet black body with a thin lacey head. Lots of coffee and chocolate on the nose with a little alcohol. More alcohol taste than in the nose. Lots of espresso bitterness and more malt and chocolate...very creamy on the palate. Extreamly excelent.

Bottle, Lager Glass Big aroma of leather, roasted malt and hops. Love the thick mouthfeel. The flavor is complex. Very enjoyable bitterness with a slight sweetness. I love this beer.

This is the first imperial stout I’ve ever tasted, and I was very impressed. I thought I had earned my German-Irish tongue by now, but this beer revealed what my taste buds really are--whiny American ones. The beer pours as quickly as ketchup (you may need a spoon to get it out); very dark head, but not too thick; the lacing will stay on the glass for 3 weeks. Nice aroma of coffee and alcohol; very dark color with a tint of caramel. It was a little bitter on the tongue at first (read above my whiny American taste buds), but at sip #2 I tasted only perfection. It is hot (pepper-wise) on the tongue and in the stomach. This beer is a meal, and you should definitely try it as soon as possible. Well worth the 100 rating.
