Awsome beer, near perfection in my opinion for it’s style. great color, and an even better aroma. The flavor is great, licorice, smokey flavors, a nice coffee and toffee combo in there as well, and my favorite part in this one...that nice hoppy bang that it gives you just before the alcohol warms you. Outstanding beer in my book.

This beer has a lot going on. Chocolate, coffee, drk fruity notes and a bitterness that is sometimes hard to find at the end but it’s there. Small alcohol taste in the middle, but definately not too much. This one is a classic

Very good. Had in bottle and tap. Very smooth yet powerful. Bought again and again. Must have.

This is one of my favorite beers, even though I don’t prefer high gravity brews. The taste is exceptionally balanced, sweet, robust, with roasted overtones. This is the kind of beer you drink as a meal itself.

Fresh from the store. Let it warm up a little before opening. Aroma sharp, yet pleasant. Poured black, knew I had a personal favorite (if it don’t look like used motor oil, most of the time it’s not beer). Strong coffee and dark chocolate taste, barely any taste of the alcohol in it. Will try again, and many more times to come.

Pours black with a brown head. Nose is chocolate, smoke, coffee, and a tinge of alcohol. Taste is rich chocolate, malts, coffee with a nice finish. Has an almost creamy thickness to the mouthfeel. This is tasty stuff.

Creamy black body with a long lasting black head. Chocolate notes complemented by toast and sweet malt and the right amoung of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, finishes slightly dry. An amazing imperial stout!

Lots of roasted malt smell, some molasses, with chocolate and coffee and has some hop esters in the aroma. Pitch black color with maybe a hint of an amber hue (if you have the right glass), a tan sticky head, and too difficult to see anything else other than sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Lots of chocolate, coffee, some molasses, and sweet roasted malt up front with pine, pine needles, and a hint of grapefruit and alcohol in the finish. Full bodied, resinous and buttery, lively soft carbonation and a comfortable bitterness. Been in my change up for a long time and has no burnt taste that is common with this style (could be a good thing), probably the best from North Coast Brewing.
