chocolate, coffee, black, frothy, light sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, paper napkin, full body, creamy, fizzy, long finish, this is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BEERS I am giving it MAX scores because until I find a beer BETTER in these categories, i don’t have a basis for improvement.

This is definitely a stout-standing brew that pours a deep brown with a "chocolate foam" head that disipates rather quickly to a mere thin line and has sticky, on-the-move lacing. It smells of chocolate syrup with toasted/smokey notes and slight hints of a freshly rained on forest. The flavors are of toasted malts with chocolate tones and prevalant alcohol with a slight hoppy bitterness. Presents medium carbonation with a pleasant, lingering palate.

12 oz bottle. Poured dark black with a medium long lasting dark tan head. Tastes strongly of dark chocolate and espresso with a roasted, toffee and resin taste. This is truly an extraordinary beer.

I strongly feel that this is one of the best beers that has ever touched my tongue. Dark and toasty, with a warmness imparted by the alchohol.

This was a very pleasing stout. The initial sip is shocking in its strength. As the body acclimates to the sensual overload. the overwhelming taste battles the mellowness and smoothness as you try to understand this beer. When the glass is dry, you are looking for more!

Thick, black pour with creamy dark brown head to top of the glass - had to pour last bit very slowly as the head takes awhile to dissipate when undisturbed leaving heavy lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoldering oak, toasted nuts and dark chocolate. Finish is full and creamy without the bitter hop aftertaste that other stouts I’ve tasted leave.
