Chocolate milk aroma, with a much deeper roasted flavor-espresso, as if sweetened w/malted milk, then dry in the end. Totally opaque, with beautiful head. Hard to believe it’s 9%, because the alcohol flavors are so hidden by the deep roast & sweet malts. The best California stout I have tasted.

Very intense flavors, very rich and a great example of the Russian Imperial Stout style. This is one of my favorites.

Old Raspy is a bonafide treat. Black as night and unbelievably flavorful. Great value. Give it a whirl, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful and full dark head on top of a black beer. Fantastic sweet dark chocolate aroma with hints of liquorice. Very full bodied and greasy beer with great bitterness. Sweet dark chocolate and malts turns into bitter chocolate with coffee hints. Very palatable and smooth. It actually has a great hop character as well. Very nice balance overall.

coffee/burnt toast/ carmel all round into one & the chiffonned on the palate. dont fuck with the one who wouldnt die as he will lead you to a path of doom and eventually break you down till you pyscho-anolize yourself to the point of paranoia

This is one of my favortite Imperial Stouts. Great flavor, body, head, after taste. Not the best, but right up there, and at the price, it is a great value.

bottle ethereal brought back from the states, thanks for sharing :-) ! fantastic beer. deep cocoa and chocolate nose with sweet, tart stewed fruits and medicinal herbs. Looks like strong creamy coffee, pitch black with a thick creamy, lacy tan head. marvellously well balanced flavours. bitter hops, creamy roast malt, herbs and honey. finely carbonated mouthfeel. devine impi stout!
