Smells fantastic - dark, thick, robust, of fresh black coffee, chocolate, and a little alcohol. Flavor is robust and malty then follows with the chocolatey and black coffe aftertaste. I really liked this a lot, and also very impressed it’s from the States. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA

The expected aromas of coffee and chocolate dominate the nose. The full-bodied, creamy-textured ale slides onto the tongue with a peculiar but subtle and quickly forgotten saltiness. The rich, malty flavor is surprisngly smooth with only the tiniest hints of sourness. Bitterness arrives as the beer moves south and provides a long, mildly astringent finish. A bit of alcohol warmth is lurking in there as well. A very drinkable imperial stout: certainly one of the best. colts9016 (198), Idaho, USA

Incredible odor of coffee and chocolate. The first sip brings in a blast of rich, complex flavors that hits you like a punch. Malt and chocolate coats your entire mouth, which lingers in the coffee and burnt toast aftertaste. There’s more taste in a sip of this then you get in an entire case of 95% of the beers out there. Really good stuff. joverton85 (80), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA

The aroma was very good with fragrances of chocolate, roasted coffee & cocoa. The taste was creamy with flavors of dark chocolate and espresso. A very strong flavor that lasted on the palate a long time. The 9% alcohol was hidden very well by the flavors. The head left great lacing througout the glass. I throughly enjoyed this beer!!!! rbrazell (57), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
