Dark and toasty, with a warmness imparted by the alchohol. dwh50 (46), Clay, New York, USA

I had to give it a perfect score for palate. It is full bodied, not thin not surpy, excellent mouth feel. I give it a perfect score for taste, I like other imperial stouts with differing flavors but this is excellent. Appearance? It has the appearance of an imperial stout. That leaves deduction for aroma or overall, while my sense of smell is not overly acute I deducted a point for overall, why? I did not wish to give it a perfect score. I suggest you try it and decide. rsauermann (38), Arlington, Texas, USA

As the body acclimates to the sensual overload. the overwhelming taste battles the mellowness and smoothness as you try to understand this beer. Aroma of smoldering oak, toasted nuts and dark chocolate. Finish is full and creamy without the bitter hop aftertaste that other stouts I’ve tasted leave. Excellent recommendation by the helpful staff at the Cellar. It smells of chocolate syrup with toasted/smokey notes and slight hints of a freshly rained on forest. The flavors are of toasted malts with chocolate tones and prevalant alcohol with a slight hoppy bitterness. Presents medium carbonation with a pleasant, lingering palate.

Tastes strongly of dark chocolate and espresso with a roasted, toffee and resin taste. This is truly an extraordinary beer.
