Very full body, bursting with flavour, one of the best stouts I’ve had. Eructoblaster (1508), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Bottle - 12 oz. Opaque black body topped with a thick and lasting brown pillowy head. Gorgeous and intense malty aroma with roasty, chocolate and dark berries notes. Taste is bit less complex than the aroma. However, it is more than enjoyable. It hides the alcohol perfectly, carries plummy hints, and leaves a long and sharp bitter/roasty aftertaste. This is very close to my idea of a perfect Imperial Stout, and it is definitely not for lagerboys... ;-) Timmy (15), San Pedro, California, USA

The taste has a great nutty kick with a really interesting bitter finish. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. This beer is a delight! By the way, the high alcohol content packs a punch of it's own! Rich chocolate and toasty flavor with a sweet alcohol taste thrown in. Bitter at the finish, but that is easily remedied by taking another sip. ABV more noticed as it warms, in a good way. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

Nice sniffable malty aroma. Taste is of dark chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, roasted malt and generous hops. Not that sweet. Mouthfeel is very full, round and creamy. Leaves a nice burnt aftertaste. Highly recommended!
