Smokey, coffee, licorice maybe, molasses aroma. Thick, black, viscous much like my soul and underpants. Taste was coffee and molasses, some smoke, slighthint of sweetness. Some toffee in there. Finishes with smoke and coffee.

Dark beer, very light lacing, little to no head. Excellent falvor you expect from an Imperial Stout. Would definitely buy again.

Do I sense some watermelon? Smells beautiful: like a leafy forest at night, and dark chocolate powder. Better yet (and amazingly) it tastes much like it smells. Bitter, burnt aftertaste. Texture’s creamy and consistent. The greatness is what’s not there: In other words, there are no flaws. The finish is slightly sweet, with some berry notes.

One of my favorite imperials right behind storm king. Possible a little more bitter. Smooth and sweet with lots of different malts used. Lots of coffee flavors from roasted barley. Worth the 4.50 at the bar.

Very good. Pours opaque black, with a very thick brown head. Aroma is bitter, roasty, malty, and alcohol. Flavor is the same, with the alcohol being fairly noticeable. Tastes bitter also, of coffee and dark chocolate. Palate is thick and syrupy. Finish is sweet. Very nice.

Imperial’s are my favorite style and this is a solid beer - but why so much hops?!? Dark motor oil like appearance. Huge nose of pine. Complex flavors galore - burnt chocolate, java, winey notes. Very nice finish that lasts for minutes!! But alas it is out of balance when the hops take over the malt characters - yet still, some of the boldest flavors I have had in an IP.

Wonderful nose that reminds me of Brooklyn Black. Lots of coffee, caramel, chocolate, nuts, and hops. The palate has a wonderful hop tingle. Packed full of wonderful dark chocolate cake flavors. The beer finishes rich and malty with a wonderful mix of hoppy goodness. I like this baby.
