12 oz bottle. Poured dark black with a medium long lasting dark tan head. Tastes strongly of dark chocolate and espresso with a roasted, toffee and resin taste. This is truly an extraordinary beer.

I decided to have this as a birthday beer. Pours a 8000 mile used valvoline black. Big, frothy, dark tan head. Smells of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Lots of coffee in the taste with a hint of chocolate and cherry. Heavy coffee and bitter chocolate aftertaste with a bit of alcohol. This definitely was a complex beer, enough to move to the top of my ratings. Great beer. Top shelf.

An absolutely wonderful experience. It starts out slightly hoppy and once it warms the roasted malts take charge. Warning: Not for the weak at heart.

This is an incredible beer. So thick you almost need to cut it with a knife. The flavors are so rich, a mixture of coffee, chocolate, molasses and a chunk of heaven. A beer to cherish and to share - one of the best - hell it’s a top ten.

Good God..., this is he best stout I have ever had. Seriously strong chocolate aroma. You know what you drank with the aftertaste. It’s strong, and has a slight alcohol burn. FULL bodied with chocolate upon chocolate. Coffee undertones, and bitterness there, but not overpowering--just like it should be for an impeial stout. If I could get this beer in NC i would quit brewing. Is everything north coast brews this good? Red seal ale was impressive too.

Near perfection. Completely pleasing in all respects. This is what a high quality beers should aspire to.
