Relatively black with a nice thick head. Nose is a mix of sugars and roast, with some burnt plum and citrusy hop. Flavour - well balanced, with lush sugars, rich hops, just-right roastiness, a little bit of burned fruit, and a shot of late alcoholic warmth. The body is thick and sugary. Complex, enjoyable, and very well-balanced.

Bottle. Opaque. Dark brown/orange head, not too thick. Malty cofee roast nose. A little of a tartish almost vaguely citrusy bite to tongue. Espresso-like flavor thick on tongue. Probably my 2nd favorite stout to Mackeson.

This is a mighty tasty mohambe! Very malty aroma - not entirely burnt, with some grape-like fruitiness. Velvety mouthfeel. Nicely bitter flavor, - hops, chocolate and slight coffee. Alcohol subsides nicely as the beer warms. Slight lingering of burnt coffee. Very nice brew, for sure.

Beige head leaving a nice lacing over a dark brew. Fruity nose. Chocolaty and roasty some black licorice notes. Not my favorite Imperial but a darn good one. Well done North Coast!

Roasted coffee notes in both the aroma and flavor. If I try hard I can taste a similar hop flavor to the Red Seal Ale buried beneath the intense roasty maltiness. A wonderful Imperial Stout.

Good God, do I ever love stouts!! Thin, tan head. Very nice, creamy smell. Masterfully balanced and complex. The dominant flavor is chocolate, with hints of coffee and maybe a little fruitiness. The alcohol content definitely is noticeable in the taste but this doesn’t detract from the quality of the beer. The one I just drank definitely won’t be my last.
