Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a fast disappearing tan head. The aroma is has notes of sweet malt and alcohol as well as extremely strong notes of vanilla and bourbon. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, vanilla, bourbon, caramel, and wood as well as some signs of oxidation. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

2005 Bottle - Thanks Sam! - Pours out flat brown with very little head...aroma is warm and inviting, rich bourbon, brown sugar and oak hiding behind the others...flavour was creamy, vanilla and caramel coated the mouth...warming, but still felt lighter than ABV present...a treat

Thin, hot, and full of bourbon’s kick. Mild wood notes throughout and nice vanilla for balance. nice enough and worth sitting on for a short while.

375 ml bottle - thanks to Skoi & Terry for cracking this treat; part of a lineup of vintage old stock plus this and the brandy; dark amber and clear; not nearly as sweet as the brandy, but plenty of bourbon goodness; a little musky and showing some age; more oak comes out in this one; sweet, sugary, malty going down; thin texture from the wood; started to grow on me, but definitely take the brandy over this; holding up quite well; please, please BA old stock again?!?!

375, corked and baled. Thanks, Yem! Crystal clear medium brown with bright golden highlights. Headless, laceless. Huge sweet caramel, bourbon, and vanilla nose. Creamy, sticky, oily body. Big bourbon caramel vanilla mid-palate. Long sticky sweet finish. Amazing, amazing stuff. Wow.

Very generous friend. Poured amber with a white head. Aroma of bourbon. Smelled like this was going to be harsh. Mellow bourbon with some vanilla and caramel. Not bad at all.

Very deep reddish-brown in colour with a very thin beige head, very light to little lacing with a bit of alcohol legs. The aroma is of light bourbon, chocolate, caramel, some alcohol, sugary sweet, some butterscotch. The flavour is of chocolate, vanilla, oak, caramel malts, noticable alcohol, sweet and chewy. Warming mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes a little hot with a lingering sweetness.

Incredible aroma, the alcohol really doesn’t come into play until the finish but even then its never really a problem. Very good.

375ml bottle obtained in a trade with TheCheeseMan, thanks Dan.

Sampled from bottle at OT, Stockholm. January 25, 2009.
2005 vintage
Nice clear copper to brown color, smallisg off-white head. Scent and taste are both dominated by vanilla oak, though the taste is also malty sweet and eaissins. Warming alcohol, but not too much. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
