Commercial Description:
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

Bottle, hazy amber pour with thin head. Sweet aroma of malt, citrus, and yeast. Thin taste of malt, sugar, yeast, and fruit. It’s a Belgian strong ale from and American company, expectations were low, but it was a decent attempt.

Looks like a very nice wheat ale, if you ask me. Nice thin head that quickly fades away. Translucent apperance. Pleasant malty nose, with a lot of sweet and yeast aromas, but this is just not an extraordinarily pungent beer. Tastes of yeast, sugar, and malt. Not as thick as I would like it to be. Other belgian ales have a bit thicker of a palate. Pretty good belgian for an Americna company.

Not my favorite from this brewery. Pours a hazy amber color. Aroma is sweet of alcohol and spice. Very similar to Duvel, flavor is of yeast, alcohol, and spice with some peach notes.

Nice aroma, picking up lots of yeast. Flavor sits on tongue, disappears quickly though. Standard

Thanks to ghawener. Drank it at El Flor for New Year’s eve. Very solid beer. Well crafted and rounded. Fruit and floral with a nice alcohol burst.

Slightly hazy golden-orange pour, bubbly head with no retention and little lacing. Very mild nose with faint hints of citrus and honeysuckle. Somewhat bland flavour nonetheless presents enough fruity sweetness to keep me interested though I’m not sure for how long. Mouthfeel is on the thin side with reasonable carbo, very little in the way of a finish except for a slight hint of watery fruit juice. Meh. A decent session beer or summer thirst quencher, I suppose, but I generally expect better from North Coast.
