| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2008 This one is a lot better than the last belgian golden ale that I poured down the drain. I finished this one.... good aromas of yeast fruits, some doughy must, appearance was a delight, golden clear body with lovely effers that clinged to the rim of the glass, flavors of dried golden fruits, green raisins and flowers, citrus, the whole works, decent quaffer. cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 17, 2008 Nice cloudy yellowish brown bubbling liquid. Strong wheat alky plowing taste bud affront. Dizzying billowing up the back of the throat. Appalling and oppressive. Difficult at times just like some bad uncivilized US trippels. Certainly a prankster. Not nearly as good as a real beljy. Overwhelming, uncivilized. Lasting lingering finish impressions. skidney (6), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Pours hazy orange with a small white head. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Bottle - Pours a fairly cloudy golden amber in color with a very small white head that fades quickly. Aroma is malty sweet with bready Belgian yeastiness and spicy, fruity, estery (peaches/apricots) goodness. Flavor lives up to the expectations. Lots of bready yeast, sweet malts, fruits and a finish that is more than slightly bitter and lingering. A little too much carbonation and a bit too thin. A good effort... Old hoppy notes that are starting to give off an odd minty hint. Yeasty and spicy in true run of the mill Belgian style. Slight caramel and sweet alcohol with a fairly boozy finish. I’ve had MUCH better from North Coast.
