Taste is of yeasty bread, malts, and citrus fruits. The fruit flavors linger on with a nice alcohol presence. The beer finishes with a sharp alcohol bite. Very tasty, and I could drink it again. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Bottle - Pours a fairly cloudy golden amber in color with a very small white head that fades quickly. Aroma is malty sweet with bready Belgian yeastiness and spicy, fruity, estery (peaches/apricots) goodness. Flavor lives up to the expectations. Lots of bready yeast, sweet malts, fruits and a finish that is more than slightly bitter and lingering. A little too much carbonation and a bit too thin. A good effort... | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle at Chris O’s Post GBBF Tasting. Amber gold with a thin white film topping. Old hoppy notes that are starting to give off an odd minty hint. Yeasty and spicy in true run of the mill Belgian style. Slight caramel and sweet alcohol with a fairly boozy finish. I’ve had MUCH better from North Coast. dwaggs2 (563), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Four 12oz bottles purchased for something like $9.75 from local liquor store Pours a cloudy light gold with tons of bubbles and a bit of head. Nice yeasty aroma. First taste follows the aroma - all yeast with a slight spiciness as it goes down. Tripel-like. Not overly complex or exciting - or perhaps I burned out after a rash of similar-tasting tripels.
