| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with lots of carbonation and a moderate bright white head with decent lacing. Aroma is yeasty, but really none of the fruity notes you would expect from the style. Flavor is similar--slightly astringent, yeasty and maybe just a bit of spice, but again noticeably lacking in floral or fruity flavors. It’s possible I just got a bad bottle, but I was disappointed in this one. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Golden pour with a finger thick white head. Carbonation. Some yeast on the nose. I did not find this to be a good example of a Belgian style. tastybeer (143), Washington DC, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with very nice head. Tastes as good as any Belgian strong ale I’ve tried, with a delicious spice and hop taste. Would gladly recommend. kiefdog (1651), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 22, 2008 12oz bottle from Jans Wine and Boos#2 (Tampa, FL). Rated on 3/4/08. Pours a dark golden color with two-finger white-tan head that settles quickly but still laces glass. Aroma is sweet and spicy, coriander, honey, straw. Flavor is spice, some hops, with a complex spice and cheese palate that finishes quickly and provides just a brief bitterness. darn1207 (668), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Wow! North Coast on sale in Calgary. Golden amber with minimal head. Lightly dusted tangerine nose. Full mouth feel with a soft chalk character and round fruit notes. A big apricot note. A bit of spice emerges in the finish after a few sips. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2008 I’ve learned to never trust a "prankster", but this one changed my opinion. Pours a hazey, lazy, cloudy, bright, illuminating golden body with plenty of wheat, floral and orange peel aromas. A very soft creamy mouthfeel sweet and supple with an accent of spice in the finish. Very nice! spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
