Equal malt and hops taste.. no overbearing taste. It is almost like they made a very strong beer and reduced everything until it was even. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Nice formed body with a little bittering added to the mix. Goes real good with a meal as I had this with mine. Will more than likely get this again castironchef (6), Pearl City, Hawaii, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Sweet-smelling, herbal but not-fruity aroma with a golden-caramel color. Complex hop taste with a hint of clove, starting off sweet and mellowing out but never going bitter. A medium-bodied beer, slightly creamy with a beautiful gentle head. Excellent Belgian-style ale. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Updated: May 28, 2008This is a nice Belgian golden strong ale. It is dark gold, a tad hazy, with a medium, off-white head that slowly shrinks to a lasting thin top that leaves some weak, foamy lacing. It is rather uncarbonated for the style. The aroma is very nice, raw, dried grain. pears, hints of pine sap, lemon, and bubblegum - similar to others of the style but very nice. The taste is wonderful, full-bodied fruitiness with a light spiciness, a nicely pungent light alcholic quality, a little grain, especially in the finish, and a hint of lemon. It’s kind of light, but tasty and zesty, with a slight fizzy quality. obguthr (1066), Poquoson, Virginia, USA

Weak lemon grass finish. Poorly blended, underfermented. Not what I expected from North Coast. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA

Cloudy amber with strong honey and citrus aroma, almost like a double white. Taste is coriander, clove and lemon up front with some orange and yeast in the finish. Bit of a herbal lemon aftertaste that detracts. Overall very drinkable and solid. jjuf1853 (480), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
