| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Pours a nice golden color. Decent spicy flavor but it tastes like a pretty generic belgian strong ale, nothing about this one makes it stand out to me. I like it but probably wouldn’t buy again lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Bright golden pour with a frothy offwhite head. Smell is strongly metallic wtih a strong yeast smell behind that. Taste is decent, but bland. Very generic belgian strong ale flavor to me. Malty, yeasty and some detracting metallic flavors. Quite bubbly mouthfeel. Not particular spectacular. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Bottle that I have a feeling sat at the distributor for a bit (refrigerated) as it felt dusty. but that was a good thing. Poured dark amber in to two konings snifters. Very nice american "belgian" one of the best I’ve had. Not overly sweet, with a nice strong almost minty finish. Towards the bottom of my glass, I noticed a few drops left in the bottle and added them, the yeast really kicked up the flavor. Very enjoyable beer BMan1113VR (2931), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Unless one has that ilk, some belgian beer may have a somewhat "acquired" taste or nose when compared to maybe english, german, or american beers. This one’s not that way. Very nice and drinkable. wickedpete (629), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA
