Commercial Description:
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

Pours a nice golden color. Decent spicy flavor but it tastes like a pretty generic belgian strong ale, nothing about this one makes it stand out to me. I like it but probably wouldn’t buy again

Bright golden pour with a frothy offwhite head. Smell is strongly metallic wtih a strong yeast smell behind that. Taste is decent, but bland. Very generic belgian strong ale flavor to me. Malty, yeasty and some detracting metallic flavors. Quite bubbly mouthfeel. Not particular spectacular.

Pours clear gold. Huge three finger white head. dissipates after a few minutes to a thin layer. great lacing sheeting down the glass. Aroma of banana esters, caramel, and some light hop spice. Flavor is banana, caramel and alcohol peeking through. Mouthfeel is bubbly carbonation, and medium on the palate. Aftertaste is a bit of banana, and light caramel and a large part alcohol. A very decent belgian style ale.

Bottle that I have a feeling sat at the distributor for a bit (refrigerated) as it felt dusty. but that was a good thing. Poured dark amber in to two konings snifters. Very nice american "belgian" one of the best I’ve had. Not overly sweet, with a nice strong almost minty finish. Towards the bottom of my glass, I noticed a few drops left in the bottle and added them, the yeast really kicked up the flavor. Very enjoyable beer

Aroma of celerey, spiceness, coriander, piney hops and alcohol. Pours with a huge, frothy, yellow head with a slighly hazy golden body. Taste is a bit alcoholic with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.

Unless one has that ilk, some belgian beer may have a somewhat "acquired" taste or nose when compared to maybe english, german, or american beers. This one’s not that way. Very nice and drinkable.

Pours cloudy gold color with a white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma of honey and belgian yeast. Flavor is quite fruity and spicy, almost minty. The belgian yeast flavor is pronounced along with a gentle honey sweetness. A bit of spice hits the palate toward the finish.
