Smelled sweet and yeasty...Very yeasty taste with a tad of hops on the finish. Good medium bodied mouthfeel..Overall I think it is nice example of a Belgian Strong. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA

Loved this one. Pale golden color and nice head. Fruity aroma with a bit of yeasty notes as well. Almost Hefe-like, but not as strong and fragrant. Sweet malty flavor - light bitterness. Solid brew for the style. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

Smooth from start to finish....a good balance of the sweet belgian malts and flavoable hops. A nice all-around ale. Goes great with a pub meal, like Fish and Chips. Great taste, floral notes on your plate. Light fruitiness, creamy smooth beer. THis beer was a fruitiness surprise. Drink this one quick.. better with strong carbonation. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 13, 2008 A near perfect Belgian strong. Aroma was so so. Grass and spices mostly. Pour was a nice murky orange with a one finger white head. Taste was very fruity. Orange, coriander and peach with a lot of yeast and a mild alcohol burn. Great carbonation and perfect balance. If the aroma on this beer was better and the flavor came through stronger it would be 4+. Nice Belgian Capa (995), Yokosuka, Japan
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Hazy glowing gold with a medium size white head. sweet malts, spices, yeast, fruity, alcohol and some citrus in the aroma. Nice body. Flavor is a little heavier on the yeast and spice than anything else with some fruit undertones thrown in for fun. Though I enjoyed this beer I would have liked a little something to set it apart from the myriad of others just like it. Still, a good beer that doesn’t disappoint the taste buds. Lager-like body, thick American diffusion that imitates true Belgian quality and falls short with a flourish. (Lacks ’Funk’) kidmartinek (1001), austin, Texas, USA
