Thin white film on top. Aroma was some caramel and cream. Flavour was rather traditional belgian ale with a touch of honey. Maybe finishes a touch dry. Pleasant ale. I have a bad habit of comparing the beer I’m drinking to my favorite within it’s style. This poured a pale gold and a think white head however, the flavor was not as complex as I was hoping. It may have been served to cold and itwas just too easy to drink - all gone before it hit prime temp. I’ll probably need to re-rate this guy. deprogram (112), Renton, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 14, 2007 Fine head that builds and dissipates quickly, leaving a blond, light liquid in the glass. Aroma of crushed pine and clover, honey, dandelions. Delicate mouthfeel, just a tinge of hops to round out the end. Generally exemplary of Belgian style, although rather less complex than some of the more traditional offerings. Seems light on the yeast and sugar, which isn’t a bad thing. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 13, 2007 cloudy golden amber, mine had a lot of head, while my roommates had hardly any. looks delicious. floral and orange in aroma. kinda thick going down, which i was fighting a little bit... not as "orange-ie" as other belgians, which i prefer, but not the tastiest either. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 12, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Poured a hazy amber/orange with a thin head. Aroma of honeyed cake and biscuit malts with some pear, banana, citrus, and floral notes. Cookie-cake malt flavors with like a caramelized sugar, apricot/orange marmalade swirl. Develops more of a candied citrus peel note and yeasty creaminess as it warms. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Enjoyable Belgian interpretation, but not really complex or exciting.
