The aroma a yeast with some lemon. This one laces nicely with a very sweet taste with a nice smooth finish. Not one of the best belgian strong ales but a good one. thisroundsonme (1), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Initially, a subtle hint of freshly washed canine evolving into a taste of banana ester and a hint of coriander. Lovely mouth-feel with the soft touch of a velvetine fop. A reasonable facsimile of a beer actually from Belgium. Cybercat (811), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Aroma is strong, malty and yeasty with a hint of pear. It pours out a pretty clear golden color with a thick and fairly persistent head. Flavor is malty with fruity tones and a nice alcohol kick. On the tongue it feels smooth and rich, a satisfying ale that goes down the pipes very pleasantly and with just a touch of bitterness. Tasty and recommended. Beerlando (2345), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Pours a relatively clear, beautiful gold color with a thin white head of microbubbles. High carbonation. Fruity, yeasty aroma with a faint citrus undertone. Flavors follow suit, with additional spiciness that is intensified by the carbonation. Quite an intense fizz on the tongue. Aftertaste fades to somewhat metallic/mineral. Decent enough beer. Not in the same league as the better Belgians, but a decent, light and refreshing alternative that is a good value for the price. stobbe74 (714), Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Bottle, 12 oz. Aroma is earthty and slightly yeasty. The beer is hazy and has a redish yellow color. Flavor is citrus and slighly yeasty. Has notes of spices. Fresh mouthfeel. Overall an average attempt on making a belgian beerstyle on american terms. hogan873 (334), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Very good. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast (like fresh bread dough) and some citrus. Some good carbonation on the palate. Taste is quite good; spicy and a little sweetness. Very smooth considering the alcohol content. One of the better Belgian-style ales I’ve had. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2007 This is a very good version of a Belgian Ale. It had aromas of yeast and citrus. The mouthfeel gave notes of citrus and spices. An excellent complex finish. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
