Commercial Description:
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

On tap at Gingerman. Pours a hazy golden orange color. Not much head to it, slight carbonation. I remember a floral aroma and bitter fruit flavors. Really easy to drink...I’ll definately try more from NCBC.

12 ounce bottle from South Bay Drugs ($2.19). Pours a dark orange-amber color. The one finger of white head diminishes to a steady layer. Aroma of sweet malts, yeast, spice, banana, and some light citrus. Tastes primarily of sweet malts along with some light spice and light citrus. This is drinkable enough, but is a bit too sweet and really lacks the complexity found in the best Belgian strongs.

From the Bottle at Chris O’s, GBBF Week, 09/08/2008 Carbonation. Golden coloured hoppy and a little hazy in appearance. A little dryness in a crisp and bitter nutty finish.

Pours very smoothly and gives off a great aroma of fruit and citrus. Very clean and refreshing finish. It almost appeared that the 7.6% ABV had quite a kick to it.

12oz bottle at steeping room on august 6, 2009. Rich orange amber color, well carbonated with a bubbly ( not frothy) head. Grainy yeast aroma, light and spicy-sour flavor with yeast in the finish. Yeasty aftertaste. Overall, great on a hot summer day when you need a good pick-me-up.

Pours a hazy honey color with a nice amount of white head. Aroma is sweet bananas and a lot of malt. Flavor is sweet, nutty and fruity. A bit of hops in the background and an alcohol bite at the finish. Nicely carbonated. One of my favorites.
