Golden color and a fluffy white head with moderate persistence. Nose of fruit, floral, and sawdust (the sawdust part brought the aroma score down by at least a point). Fruity taste with some woody notes and some distinct tartness. Short lasting tart finish. This beer has all the taste and aroma components of golden Belgian ales but it doesn’t have as good a balance as the better Belgians. Pretty good effort, but no where near as good as many golden ales that are actually from Belgium.

Jan 3, 2009 Pours a golden color with a thin white head that quickly disapates. Aroma is fruity and doughy. Taste is very sweat, fruity, orange, apples, bannana, Has a hint of clove.

Dec 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange golden body with an off white head. Fruity sweet up front, note of peach and orange. Light yeast zest. Finishes dry with a grassy hop note.

Dec 28, 2008 One of my poker buddies brought this over. I was surprised how good it was compared to other Belgian Strongs I have had. It was nice and light with a smooth palate and a sweet tinge. A little spice and a little fruity.

Dec 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Foggy pale brown with a diminishing white head. Nose is dough, school paste and sweet tea. Medium light, a little oily, with a tang. Taste is buttery peach, pink lemonade and yeast. Despite the off-notes this is still nicely drinkable.
