Commercial Description:
Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

draft. pours dark amber red. a great combination of caramel malts and citrusy hops. the hops fade a bit as you drink but its a nice balanced taste. just bitter enough to give it a crisp edge, but the malt flavor comes through. well done.

330 ml bottle. Deep copper color, aesthetic off-white head. Hoppy aroma. Nice bitter taste, with some fruitiness and a touch of toasted malts. Sharp mouthfeel, dry finish. Quite a pleasant APA indeed.

Good looking, easy to drink, nicely bitter and hoppy. Aftertaste lasts quite long and is balanced.

Poured a copper color with minimal head. Hoppy aroma. Flavor was sweet malts balanced by earthy and piney hops. Not a bad APA.

A hazy copper brown reddish colour. Average beige head. A nice crisp hoppiness. Hints of grapefruit and lemon in the taste. A 0.355 L bottle.

I usually steer clear of the American Pale Ales and IPA’s... been there, done that sort of thing. So many American-brewed offerings in the style are the same. But I enjoyed this one. No surprise as the brewers at North Coast are top-notch. Deep copper pour, slightly over-foamed head - though that’s usually due to storage conditions. Excellent balance of malty sweetness and hop complexity. Neither aspect was overdone. Really enjoyed this one. Recommended and would absolutely enjoy this one again.

I weas suprised found this at a liquor store in Topeka Kansas. Under an inch of dust. Fruity, hoppy aroma on top of this clear amber colored ale. Earthy, caramel and biscuts for flavor. Slightly bitter at the finish. Although a tad watery. This a fine and solid beer

???This was my favorite beer a few years ago, and hadn’t had one in quite some time. This was a major disappointment. The aroma specifically is off. I feel bad for saying this, but the aroma reminds me of diaper...??? That alone dropped this from a 4 to a 3.2. Is North Coast loosing it? Under new management? I found pranqster to a major disappointment, Brother Thelonius came up short for me too. Sad times....
