| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 Pours a deep amber color with a medium off-white head. Almost floral aroma that’s spicy in nature. Good soft mouthfeel without being spongy. Nice flavor that has a good balance of maltiness and hoppiness. Good dry finish. Nice brew! Pair this beer with chicken that has been marinated in a soy sauce/red vinegar mix, then grilled in the backyard. Also serve grilled sweet corn on the cob and mustard potato salad. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 10, 2008 From bottle. Mellow orange blossom, light caramel and toffee, with mild grainy malt and a bit of floral character in the hops. Amber-orange clear with some haze, topped with creamy off-white lacing, lasting head. Medium watery body with medium to light carbonation. Kinda squidgy. Starts relatively dry, with just a bit of caramel malty sweetness. Mainly a good shot of bittering hops with light floral-fruity undertones. Bitter finish that lasts, overpowering what little maltiness there is. After is dry with a nutty bitter character, lightly chalky. Todeon (315), Sweden

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | May 7, 2008 Aroma: Wheat toast with strawberry jam and honey. Tart, sweet, and roasty. Excellent, nutty malts. Hops impart a hint of citrus and an earthy character.
Appearance: Thick, hazy, cinnamony brownish-red, glowing pinkish-orange where the light hits it. Parchment-colored, fluffy head with good retention.
Flavor: Sooo good. Tastes mostly of caramel malts, English breakfast tea, and grassy, perfectly dry hops. A hint of rummy alcohol. There’s also something distinctly fruity about this beer, a very subtle blend of berries, bananas, grapefruit, and apples. Clean, dry finish. Goes great with Brazil nuts.
Palate: Frothy, somewhere between light- and medium-bodied, and clean. Good for the style.
Overall: This is an excellent go-to beer for everyday drinking. jeg (115), Austin, Texas, USA

I am continually impressed by North Coast beers. Pours a copper red with good foamy head and great aroma of spices and medium malts. Taste is complex yet smooth and refreshing. weezfour (122), Oradell, New Jersey, USA
