Commercial Description:
Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

Draft at ginger man. Pours brownish red with a mild head. Smell and taste is hopppy. OK but unspectacular IMO.

June 2007 - Beer poured a caramel brown, clear with smallish head and lacing. Aroma of caramel malts and floral-like hops. The flavor had a thin caramel base and finished bitter with citrus and some odd floral hop that had almost a grassy like quality. I wasn’t fond of the "odd hop" and thought it was a pretty big detractor. Flavor was a bit on the weak side. Had a Dale’s Pale the night before and this isn’t even remotely close to as good.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: bright lightly hazed orange amber , smallish top shown 3-.
Nose : Fairly strong hoppy accents , orange like citric notes , sweet lighter malt base.6+
Flavor/Palate : Richer than aroma suggested. On sweet side somewhat balanced with large dose of west side hops. Here I come California.

A nice clear amber pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma of pine and floral hops, with some citrus. Sweet flavor of fruit and hops. Great ale.

Pours an amber colour with a tan head. Very hoppy on the nose - tropical fruit candy and citrus fruits. Nice! Very hoppy Very hoppy in the flavour as well - with both he tropical fruit candy and the citrus fruits. Also some notes of caramel and dried apricots. Dry and a bit earthy finish. Very drinkable!

On tap at The Daily in Chicago. Medium copper color with medium off-white head. Aroma is actually a substantial about of citrus hops with caramel and light floral notes. Flavor is caramel, citrus hops, some light fruitiness, not bad. Medium body and somewhat creamy. Not bad on tap.

Picked this one up and thought it was a red lager beer...guess I should read the label, eh? Anyways, figured out it wasn’t a red lager upon the pour...nice copper pour with a reddish tinge...beautiful head on this as well. Citrus and yeast on the aroma which has a nice melding of malt and hops. Flavor is very good...it seems to sway back and forth between the sweet, caramel malts and some light bittering hops...very bready and sugary up front, then turns bitter, before a smooth finish. Dunno if I would have picked this up if I knew it was a pale ale, and I’m glad I made the mistake, because this was a quality beer.

Wonderful beer from North Coast. Floral, yeasty aroma develops into full malty/hoppy palate. Finishes slightly on the thin side for so aggressive a start, but nonetheless a great beer.
