Anyways, figured out it wasn’t a red lager upon the pour...nice copper pour with a reddish tinge...beautiful head on this as well. Citrus and yeast on the aroma which has a nice melding of malt and hops. Flavor is very good...it seems to sway back and forth between the sweet, caramel malts and some light bittering hops...very bready and sugary up front, then turns bitter, before a smooth finish. Dunno if I would have picked this up if I knew it was a pale ale, and I’m glad I made the mistake, because this was a quality beer. leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 13, 2008 Wonderful beer from North Coast. Floral, yeasty aroma develops into full malty/hoppy palate. Finishes slightly on the thin side for so aggressive a start, but nonetheless a great beer. IPAsavedMYlife (32), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

There is the piney/citrus notes from a really great IPA, and theres also some malty red flavors in there too. This beer finishes great. The head is just average and there isn’t much lacing. I think it smells quite heavenly. I could drink this everyday for the rest of my life. markwise (1187), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Hoppy in the aroma and in the first swig. Very good for a pale, I thought it was a red ale when I bought it. Guess I should do my homework... Pours a copper/ slight amber color with a hige cream-colored head. A bit of a dry bite in the aftertaste, though. Good stuff. AmEricanbrew (1925), Wynot, Wyoming, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Light amber color with a fleeting head. Subtle floral hop aroma. Medium body and smooth. Very easy drinking taste of lightly sweet bready malts with a mildly bitter finish. Reminds me of MacJacks African amber. 51806 Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium
