Mildly sweet, nicely soapy, piney, hopped big smell. Taste is a nice mild hop taste, and a sweet caramel backing and a very smooth creamy, yet nicely carbonated great beer. Mild bitter finish on a great all around pale ale and one I will definitely have again. Nihon (240), Vernon, Connecticut, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Pours a clear sparkling amber with a nice white head. Quite bitter with aromas of caramel, and some hops. Hint of bog myrtle. Tiny hints of apple and berries. Medium bodied. Quite high carbonation. I like the high bitterness. Pretty good stuff that went down fast because of the bitterness. boFNjackson (1324), Portland, Oregon, USA

High amounts of malt in the aroma. Flavors of floral hops with a well balanced malt finish. Very earthy and piney and fruity. This beer reminded me of a lot of pale ales from breweries in New England. Reddish gold color, lightly clouded with a white, medium density head of about 1". Could tell from the nose that it would be hopped. Good drinking beer with nice lacing on the glass. Slightly bitter aftertaste that stays with you, but not overly so. I enjoyed this beer and would purchase/drink it again! joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA
