Commercial Description:
Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

pours a semi-hazy amber-red with a good size off-whte head that disapates quickly, and very good lacing. smell is of light grapefruit, some citrus, a little caramel, some tangerine in back, and some floral. taste is of nuts, caramel, a touch of citrus, dandilion, a touch of pine, and earth, end is on the bitter side. overall more of an IPA than a Pale Ale.

Have had this on tap and from the bottle, but from the bottle first. Unfortunately I don’t have good tasting notes beyond the numbers.

bottle thanks to bhensonb. poured a tea color with some orange hues and off white head. aroma of strong malt, fruity hops with an earthy undertone. flavor was malty, floral notes, and some earthy spice in the background. full body with high carbonation. i was expecting something completely different.

Minor hops in the aroma, otherwise very nil aroma. The appearance is a reddish copper color, with a thin white collar nice lacing. Flavor has nice mildly sharp hops, thin malt bodies, and some pleasant floral flavors. Mildly sharp and a nice super smooth feel.

Nothing wrong with this beer, just nothing exceptional. A little too effervescent for my taste and perhaps the tiniest hint of dms, but not enough to offend grossly.
