Aroma of woodsy malted barley and yeasty biscuits. Initial flavor of sour dough with a bitter lightly hoppy finish. The spicy hoppy bite that was expected never showed itself. Dark golden color with some head. Smells more malty than hoppy. Good carbonation and a pleasant more full body that was smooth. Flavor was ho-um but ok. I would not turn it down if offered to me.. Some hops but pretty mellow. Not much citrus. More biscuity than anything rosenbergh (907), Helsinki, Finland

Hazy reddish copper colour with small tan head. Strong fruity hoppy aroma. Same with the flavour plus some bitterness. Very nice APA. smcolw (350), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2009 Kinda an over-the-top head for this style. Poured 8 oz into a 24 oz glass--80% foam. I like how it recedes, leaving a dome of foam and chunky lace spots on the glass. The color is dark, very cloudy amber.
Sour milk aroma. Very light hop in the background.
Nice hop presence. Solid malt base...neither sweet nor dry. Long bitter aftertaste. Full bodied. Overall, a very nice pale ale beer.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2009 Bottle from Bottleworks. Pours clear orange with nice cream colored head. Little bread in the aroma but not much going on. However, very light bitter flavor with a hint of sour. But overall nice and sweet caramel with a balance of hops. Very lively on the tongue with a long finish. robertjm (406), El Cerrito, California, USA

Velvety white head. Crystal clear dark orange body. Hops are very muted by the hand pumping. Really like the bottled version a heck of a lot better because it uses one of my favorite hops. msante79 (830), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
