Aroma is mostly caramel malt, with a trace of hops. Taste is semi-sweet malt upfront with hops on the finish. Mouthfeel is nice. Pretty strait-forward and well rounded brew, good session ale for sure. SmallOne (79), Sweden

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2009 This reddish copper ale poured with a foamy beige head and a toffee aroma. This is indeed a full-bodied ale with lots of variegated malt flavor and some subtly pleasant hop bitterness. The carbonation leaves a tingling sensation on the palate. joeneugs (344), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Nice balanced aroma of floral hops, caramel, and figs. It has an enormous foamy tan head that forms pits as it settles. Red in color. It tastes a little thin, but big malty spicy caramel with mild bitterness. A slight alcohol aroma as you drink. Good malt profile for an APA. More of a hoppy amber ale reallly. Changed (167), Ithaca, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2009 12 oz. poured amber, small white head. Nice balance; more flavor than the name and alc % would indicate. One of the better brews sampled last night among stiff competition. Kestral (209), Oslo, Norway
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Clear amber with a small off white head. Smells of citrus and piny hops and malt sweetness. Caramely malts in the flavours, otherwise just refreshing fruity hops. Lively carbonated, medium body. Very drinkable.
