A light maltiness and a pretty nice finishing bitter. A slight metallic flavor on the mid to finish part on this beer. Carbonation is a bit over the top for me but a pretty good medium bodied beer. Not a bad beer at all. I rather enjoyed it and would drink it again. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Or at least a good job at persuading me otherwise. As mentioned in earlier reviews, it does not have the most attractive body- it’s sort of a transparent pale yellow colour with a very nice sized head and little lacing. Just speckles.. nice retention, a sweet fruity aroma and flavors of fruit as well- pear, pineapple- which is what i tasted. Plenty of carbonation.. I was overall, very impressed with this brew. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light gold with a huge initial 4 finger billowy white head that dissipated pretty fast. Nose is grassy grain, malt and hops. Palate is much the same, though the hops almost disappear. Watering mouth feel with decent lacing. Sessionable – refreshing hot weather beer – but nothing special. mansquito (843), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 19, 2008 Lightgolden color. Foamy white color. Grassy aroma and kinda earthy. Not really crispy. Bitter but only a little. Not too complex taste or nothin’. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2008 For a Pilsner this brew has a lot of body and flavor. It uses all the correct hops and malts but manages to be like Pilsner squared flavor-wise. I have been sampling some very lightweight lagers and pilsners this evening and this scrimshaw really stands out. Pours rich gold with a very large white head. Actually lots of lacing for this type of beer. Hops are rich, earthy, euro style and match up well with the tasty malts. Very complex for a pilsner. Nothing too complex. Very too out of the ordinary for a pils, hints of caramel. Have bought again and will continue to buy. Don’t drink it too cold. blipp (1735), Newark, New Jersey, USA
