Malty and bready taste with a crisp, clean finish. Fairly one dimensional. brandtmeister (2), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA does not count | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Very refreshing start. I loved the first couple of gulps, but then it became rather soft, bland and blah. It has some dryness, but a bit too sweet for a pilsner. something feels missing to keep the rest of the bottle interesing. Good to start, but have a buddy drink the second half off it... | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2007 This is a well made pilsner, as are all of North Coast’s offerings. I don’t think i would have picked this one up otherwise. I liked the smell of this one, nothing great but exactly what i want a pilsner to smell like. Taste was crisp and bready. Very good beer for the style, and since it was on sale it works for me. Not something I would pay premium price in a bar for though. kempicus (350), Wellington, New Zealand
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Not the best pilsner i’ve had, nose is very caramel with the flavours a mixture of caramel and jasmine. fairly decent mouthfeel but lacks crispness and a clean finish you’d expect from a good pilsner sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Bottle. Poured a gold to light amber with a lasting albeit uneven head. Aroma of honeyed cereal, with light citrus, floral and golden delicious apple notes. Cereal malt flavor balanced well with zesty hops. A little grainy on the finish. Lively carbonation in a medium body. Not a bad pils overall. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Medium blond hue, small paper white head. Aroma is weak bread and cereal with a hint of grass. Flavor is light bready sweet at the onset and then somewhat bitter. Light body, lively carbonation. Bitterness stays around until the next drink. I won this beer in a raffle and was pleasantly surprised. raphael (417), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2007 hay, honey, yeast. avoids the skunkiness that marks pilsner; solid yellow clear w/ frothy white head. airy in the mouth, good level of cabonation. I taste hops, wheat, balanced just a tinge toward the sweet, not much chaarcter
