I taste hops, wheat, balanced just a tinge toward the sweet, not much chaarcter Bradrcr (781), Renton, Washington, USA

Aroma is sweet pils malt forward with very low sourness and hop character. Appearance is a clear light yellow with a good white head. Flavor is fruity, sweet pils with very low bittering. Mouthfeel is low bodied with a medium carb feel and a clean finish. Overall, this was a great pilsner that’s got a lot more flavor than most and is still very easy drinking. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 25, 2007 I’ve never been to into pilsners. They’re usually bland and simple, as this one is too. This pils is just so incredibly drinkable that I have to praise it. It’s mostly bready and grassy with light citric and floral hop notes. The earthy lemon grass quality of the hops makes makes for a very quenching, clean finish that is just bitter enough to be satisfying, but not so bitter that it is very drying. You can absolutely pound this brew, and I do often. It pours a nice head to, which always gets extra points from me. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 23, 2007 The 12 ounce bottle poured a sparkling clear golden amber colored beverage with a small to modest white frothy head that did not last very well and left little lacing on the glass. The aromas were subtle but well balanced for the style. There were malt notes of bread and toasted nuts complimented by grass and floral hops. The body was medium-light with lively carbonation and a watery mouthfeel. The flavor starts out lightly bitter and stays that way throughout the medium-length finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2007 12 oz. bottle from lb4lb. I haven’t had one of these in several years, good to revisit a brew from a venerable West Coast brewer. Clear gold pour under a large, off white, foamy head that settle in a few minutes. Grassy aroma typical for the style, but with little of the classic noble hop fragrance. Light body, lively carbonation, and a nice clean palate, but cold use just a little more body. Good balance between light malt sweetness and soft bitterness, and a pleasantly dry finish. Pretty decent Pils, nothing objectionable, but nothing sterling either. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Decent pilsner, I guess. But I associate pilsners with Miller, Bud and Olympia. Good if you want to get hammered slowly. nearbeer (1878), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 8, 2007 355 ml. Slightly cloudy, orange gold with a large sticky head that lasts well. Aroma is spicy, slightly metallic, crackers. Flavor is dry with an excellent balance between slight bittering hops and delicately sweet honeyish malt. Palate is nearly medium bodied and smooth with some tingle on the end. Very refreshing and a nice example of the style, which is not really a favorite of mine. If we could just switch the Duff crowd to something like this, beer-life choices would improve for everyone.
