Commercial Description:
Named for the delicate engravings popularized by 19th century seafarers, Scrimshaw is a fresh tasting Pilsner brewed in the finest European tradition from Munich and Klages malts, Hallertauer and Tettnang hops. Scrimshaw has a subtle hop character, a crisp, clean palate, and a dry finish.

Picked up a 6 pack at Sherlock’s, East Cobb. Crisp refeshing appearence. Very nice texture. Malt flavor with a crisp hop finish.

A very refreshing beer indeed. Aroma is slightly grassy, no noticeable skunk, and slightly sweet. Appearance was yellowish with a nice fluffy head (no real lacing to speak of). Mouthfeel was crisp, slightly carbonated, light bodied. Flavors are also very clean, sweet aftertaste, slight hops, with a bit of lemon sourness in there. An easy drinking beer. Well done!

Pours gold with a large white head. Slightly citrusy aroma, with nondescript malts filling out the nose. Not a very good Pilsener flavor--not much of a hop bite. Halfway drinkable Lager, but a bad example of a Pilsener.

12 oz bottle. Clear golden straw with a white head. Deflates leaving chunky lace. Smells of lemon lollipop and aspirin tablets. Medium body with weak carb. Musty lemon, cardboard and an odd floral taste.

Light and clear, with a macro brew aroma. Probably rice in the aroma, as it smells and tastes like bud. Rerate: Pretty much the same as last time. Same grainy aroma. Same macro taste.

This was a slight letdown from an other wise good brewery. The pour was a light golden color with a soft white head. The aroma was very thin--but you did get some light hop aroma. The taste was very watered down and simplistic. Light tastes of malts with hops at the end--but no real strong contribution from the flavor department.

12 oz bottle. Poured a golden color with a thick head. Aroma wasn’t all that enticing but I liked the taste of hops and it was extremely smooth. I would like to couple it more with food in the future.
