The aroma was very different but good. Taste was super smooth and didnt leave a bad after taste in the least bit. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA

Taste is grassy and peppery malt backbone. Nice hops. a bit of a metallic finish. A bit thin in the mouth. Crisp up front and then creamy. Damn good drinker. This may be a new regular summer beer for me. marcverwayne (5), Riverside, California, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2006 I am not a big fan of Pilsner’s but I really enojyed this one. MOst pilsner’s for me give me a bad aftertaste and heart-burn, but this one does not. Very suprised by this beer. agl108 (511), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Dark, hazy gold pour with thick white head and some chunks of lace. Pretty impressive for a pilsner. Nose was bready. Flavor was malty but not much going on. Crisp and kinda refreshing. Likely the best pilsner I’ve tried. Not much of a crisp clean finish. May have to try one with a newborn freshness date to know for sure. I was probably the first one to get this handle pulled here. I might as well been driking Scrimshaw 98’. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA

Very smooth and flavorful, easy to down a few in a row, very refreshing. Only in th 43rd percentile in all beers (7/06) but in 82nd in its style. Will def try again. It’s hard to make a North American pilsener that’s worth talking about, but this one did it for me. Deep rich slightly orange-gold. Faintly floral aroma. Terrific pale malt foundation with flavours of apricot, edelflower, and guava. Medium bodied, subtly complex, and extremely drinkable. Fantastic! da845 (139), new york, New York, USA
