Pours a hazy, lt. orange marmalade-color, with an off-white head, which dissipated quickly. Smells of soap, beer "skunk," dryness, and (strong?) toffee. Tastes yeasty, with subtle hops balancing the malts, and retaining the soapy, pils skunkiness. Dry finish. I’ve had better pilsners, but hey... Fort Bragg. Hooah!

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Sample as part of a North Coast beer dinner at Teller’s. Pours a clear straw gold color with a medium white head. Aroma of straw, hops, pale malts, corn, grain, and beechwood. Malty flavor, with notes of hops, corn, and honey. Light-medium bodied, malty, and grainy. Crisp and clean, with some active carbonation to balance the maltiness. I liked this for the style, and would take it over a Euro pilsener any day. baraciisch (140), USA
