Bright copper-brown. Nutty, fruity aroma. Light bodied, nutty, some faint earth/yeast notes. Dry, crusty finish.

The caramel malt is what you smell, then taste. Almost no hops presence.

Deep, crystal clear amber beer with a large, frothy, ivory head. Mostly lasting with excellent, thick lacing. The nose is malty and very yeasty (bread dough) with huge shots of maple syrup and winter spices. Allspice and maybe cinnamon? Dark fruit as well. The flavor is of Russian black bread, alcohol, clove and oak up front. Very well-balanced with a moderately bitter hop presence and earthiness on the backside. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Long, yeasty, spicy and dry finish. A very nice winter warmer... even in the Spring!

Deep copper colored, oily brew with an interesting array of flavors. Strong cascade hop aroma which when tasted seems as though it were dry-hopped. Lots of caramel malt in the body but it goes down smooth. Not the same variety of spices you would expect to find in most winter ales.

Clear orange. Aroma of roasted caramel and nuts, with some vinegar or alcohol. Has a strange vegetable and milk flavor, not really comparable to other winter beers sampled. Smooth finish of scotch and Irish cream.

A dark red amber color. Pours quite thinnly witha fluffy head. Caramel malt sweetness this a hint of mace/nutmeg. A typical winter offering.
