Not a lot of flavour and its initial appearance did put me off. Mundane is the best way to describe it. Fin (3466), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

Amber coloured, maybe some hops in the aroma, but standing so close to the pig roast it was tricky to tell. having just chatted to the head brewer for the last 10 mins I felt obliged to give this beer a whirl and I was pleased I did, a jolly pleasant juicy, fruity and malty beer that whilst nothing out of the ordinary would make a good session beer. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread), lightly hoppy (lemon, orange), with a light note of diacetyl. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Yet another English cask bitter, like 90% of the rest, quite frankly. imdownthepub (5177), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 31, 2004 Cask Conditioned at Stones, Chipping Norton. A Golden Amber beer with bubbly head. North Cotswold is a tiny brewery on the Gloucs / Warks boundary, the beers are really difficult to find even for those of us that live in the area, they have been around since 1999. This is a fairly standard soft malty bitter, with a light fruity background and a rather harsh late hop note. Very drinkable but not top notch.
