Northern Rivers Migration Dark Ale

Good on the pour; very dark brown with a modest head that is well formed. Aromas are atypical, well at least to me. Shows more than a hint of passionfruit, which believe it or not mates quite well with the not unexpected darker malts. I swear there’s a touch of fruit popping up again very early in the palate. Works ok. This beer shouldn’t be an object of attraction but it is.

Presented pretty well in the glass, deep ruby red body with a light tan head. Bit of chocolate, a bit of fruit and a bit of smoke in the taste. Fairly smooth taste and good aroma especially when it has warmed a little.
