Bottle... Poured a thick oil-like black with no head, what gives? Aroma of pennies and brown sugar and watery malt. Flavors of thick roasted malt with a metallic character with hints of chocolate, coffee and nuts. Pretty mediocre and far from "Northwests Bests."

Decent - but i really like the Porter better. Had this one on nitro I think.

This stout pours a dark black color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized beige foamy head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee, hint of vanilla. A medium bodied stout. Malts are chocolate and coffee, touch of vanilla. Not a lot of roasty malts. A touch thin and a little flat tasting. Very average stout. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Fordest. rich black, but thin looking pour with NO head. roasted malt & coffee aroma and flavor. seemed a bit one dimensional and had a peculiar bitterness on the finish. glad to have had the opportunity to try it, but not one I would seek out again.
